Do I need to purchase an umbrella base? +

You will get this patio umbrella with a mobile base and a free umbrella cover. Notice: This base will be sent to you in a seperate package.

How much sand should I put in the umbrella base? +

The umbrella base contains four sandbags that hold a total weight of 480 pounds of sand for stability.

How can I rotate this umbrella for sunshade? +

You can step on the foot pedal at the base to rotate the umbrella pole for a 360 degree rotation. Additionally you can use the switch on the pole to achieve a 75 degree tilt adjustment from side to side for maximum shade.

Very good quality for the money. Very happy with the umbrella. Only two small critiques:
1) the sandbags are flimsy. The handles broke off upon the first lift after filling with 100lbs. I recommend they change the bags to a hard shell for easier filling and placement.
2) the sticks they give you to put the cover on are too short and not strong. We use our pool skimmer pole to put the cover on which is much easier and longer

Very nice umbrella, sturdy and easy to assemble and operate. The company customer service is awesome, they replaced a broken part within 2 days and without questions.

We love the umbrella. We had to get the first one replaced since there was a defect in the mechanism that opens and closes the umbrella. But the customer service was outstanding. I communicated with technical support to see if I could fix the issue myself but ultimately, they shipped a new umbrella. Although the time difference between me (US Eastern Time Zone) caused delays in communication, the were very responsive and dedicated to making sure we had a working umbrella. The base is solid and well made. My only minor complaint is that the base has 2 swivel and 2 non-swivel casters which can make moving the base cumbersome. I was not able to purchase additional swivel casters from GrandPatio unfortunately.

We really love the umbrella. The base is easy to move even though it has a lot of sand in it. We do find it hard to get the cover on and off using the poles that came with the cover, but we use other ones that we had that are taller and that has made it easier.

It has excellent quality umbrella with a sturdy base. Assembly is surprisingly easy with two people. The umbrella moves with a slight breeze. We have not had it long enough to see any color fading. With 420lbs to 480 lbs you will need physical strength to change its location especially on rough, uneven, or unlevel surfaces. We thoroughly enjoy the adjustable shaded area it provides. It exceeds our expectation.

Very nice umbrella, the base can be heavy when filled with sand, but it is flexible to move the position, I like the design and the umbrella is easy to open and close!

The company is very responsive to email. Everything well-packed in two ginormous, heavy boxes. Assembly instructions are very good - all pieces including screws and tools clearly identified. Assembly is definitely a 2-person job. The base is very sturdy, especially with an added 120 lbs. of sand.

The umbrella is VERY adjustable and can be moved, raised/lowered, and tilted to provide a terrific amount of shade - easily shades our 8-person dining table and chairs.So far we are pleased!
