Outdoor 2-Seat Patio Swing Chair, Adjustable Tilt Canopy, with Removable Cushion for Garden, Backyard, Poolside

Decision:

Replaced rusted and falling apart tripod patio swing. Like the square design with 4 sturdy legs. Like the gray/brown frame color. Like the heavy weight, as it does not seem to blow in the wind. Like the tight fit of canopy since it does not flap or blow in wind, and rain runs off rather than puddling. Canvas style material of the cushion and canopy appear to be sturdy. The price was right compared to other patio swings.

Delivery:

Very very heavy (200 lbs?), but the delivery guy agreed to put it all the way inside the garage. This way it was closer to the setup area, and it is easier open box to bring each piece outside.

Assembly:

Took about 5+hrs, for 1 single person to assemble. Directions are just pictures, but not too difficult to follow. Would have preferred a second hand, and would have made it much easier and quicker, especially with the heavy weight of each piece.

At one point thought I didn't have enough proper sized screws, but magically it all came together without anything missing. Note: There are 2 different size screws that are mixed together, so be careful to separate before assembly.

Should have made sure back of the frame was facing the wall, instead I had to turn it (after frame assembled) and could only inch by inch for 45 degrees as to not bend the frame.

Be aware that if putting against a building there is a 6 inch overhang on all sides with the canopy.

Most difficult thing was attaching the top canvas canopy with only 1 person.

If a 63 yr old woman with an mechanical aptitude can do it by herself, so can you. Just get a second person to make it easier on yourself.

Summary: It's heavy to assemble, but heavy against the wind too. The cushion is about 2 inches thick and has a small velcro strap to hold it in place; could be more comfortable, but it is simply lovely to sit outside with a nice book and a couple extra pillows.

I like the swing very much, seems very well-made. This has been my first season with it of course, but I do enjoy it very much. I would like to know whether it is possible to purchase an additional swing canopy cover, the fabric part only, not the frame because it has been my experience that the canopies, receiving the sun all day wear out before the rest of the swing. I would like to purchase 1 or two canopies to install when the first wears out. Thank You, Marcia Gentry 6103632140

Swing is great and sturdy we screwed it into our patio so it would not blow into our pool or anything else for that matter and create damage because of how sturdy the metal is however this is just the second time putting the canopy on and its clear there was wear from one season. I would expect something for $500 would have replacement pieces but it does not. I left having to find someone to create a suitable replacement canopy or not use a canopy at all. I wish I had inquired about the canopy BEFORE the purchase. Buyer beware, unless you plan to remove the canopy at the days end you may find the same issue...it isn't really able to withstand daily usage with wind and rain both heavy at time. Oh well!

Excellent swing bought one last year very well made very comfortable. I would recommend this item giving it a 10

I was worried when Fedex showed up with a ripped up box...and a random bolt was seen through a hole that I'd be missing pieces (the box was mishandled by Fedex, hopefully not sent from warehouse like that...) If it had been shipped any further, I would've lost many bolts that the plastic packaging they were in was broken open and 42 bolts were strewn about among the poles/bars other items in the big box. This arrived in 1 box that weighed over 100lbs and states 2 man carry yet Fedex decided only 1 person was capable of the job causing him to drag it along the ground to get it to my porch on delivery day. It is HEAVY duty. After luckily not losing any bolts in this process through the gaping holes, all pieces were accounted for in the box. Some of the metal on the poles were scraped up through the individually bubble wrapped pieces, but nothing major just minor scratches from being dragged. Again I blame Fedex for this mishandling of the product box. Overall it took me around 4hrs to build it. I did have help when assembling the sides together with the back bar to stand it up but for most part part, solo assembly. It went together pretty good. I didn't tighten the bolts until it was mostly assembled then fully tightened them all afterwards. As a 5'5" person, it was a struggle to do the top bolts during assembly and having my arms above my head and having to get a step stool to finish it was the most annoying part of the assembly. It looks great and the metal frame is definitely more heavy duty than other cheap frames out there. Hoping it lasts for a long time! So far the kids like it and are swinging on it daily. The cushion is plenty thick. Overall super satisfied and love the whole swing and set up. Ready for summer!
