The umbrella base contains four sandbags that hold a total weight of 480 pounds of sand for stability.
You can step on the foot pedal at the base to rotate the umbrella pole for a 360 degree rotation. Additionally you can use the switch on the pole to achieve a 75 degree tilt adjustment from side to side for maximum shade.
Looks great in my sunroom. Was easy to put together. We were missing a part contacted the company and they went above and beyond replacing part.

It has excellent quality umbrella with a sturdy base. Assembly is surprisingly easy with two people. The umbrella moves with a slight breeze. We have not had it long enough to see any color fading. With 420lbs to 480 lbs you will need physical strength to change its location especially on rough, uneven, or unlevel surfaces. We thoroughly enjoy the adjustable shaded area it provides. It exceeds our expectation.
A very nice umbrella, sturdy and durable. I've been using it for a month now and it protects me well from the sun, it even survived a hurricane but is still intact, I'm already thinking of buying some more furniture to go with it, highly recommended.
