Easy assembly and looks great

We love our Grand Patio umbrella. It’s beautiful, sturdy and well made. It’s our perfect solution for backyard shade!

We purchased 3 of these umbrellas for our Home Owners Association pool. They went together easily but one of them is almost impossible to open without one person pushing up on the umbrella from underneath while another person cranks it open. The other two are also difficult to crank up but a person can do it. Impossible for some of the older ladies that go to the pool. We have to have one of the Board members go to the pool each morning and crank the umbrellas up. We contacted Grand Patio and asked where we bought the umbrellas and when we told them Wayfair we were told to contact Wayfair. Don't know if we just got a bad one or if this is an issue with the umbrella in general . Probably won't. buy another from this company.

Was pretty easy to assemble. Provides the perfect amount of shade for a two person seating area. I recommend to the manufacturer that they should make the base into a table or provide an attachment that could turn the existing base into a table, because it makes sense to pla
ce the base in between two chairs, and then it becomes dead space. Other than that, love the umbrella.

It took two people to set this up. There's minimal parts but once it's filled it takes two people to move it the wheels are deceiving.
I live in a very windy area at times, it has a lot of give but it did move I put 150 lb of sand and filled the rest with water. I can use the Shop-Vac to pull out the excess water to move it for the winter. The holes are big enough to pour sand into using the cone that covers the base... it was pretty easy.
I wish I had bought the base that rotates. Otherwise the construction is solid.

Somewhat easy to assemble need two people. Provides great sun protection!

Packages arrived in good shape, instructions were clear enough and all assembly tools and parts came with it. Much easier with two people but possible for one. The umbrella itself is on a swivel at the top which allows it to swing in the breeze a bit. This is actually a feature I think, saves it from wind damage.
They both came with bases, the bigger one came with a metal frame and 4 strong casters with brakes, on which the base attaches. The smaller came with two plastic wheels that fit onto the bottom of the base. Like any umbrella they should be collapsed & tied up when not in use and when too windy.
You will need 6-7 bags of sand per base, then fill with water.
Overall good value for the size and that the base is included.

Assembling the umbrella was a snap. Just a few bolts, nuts and washers (For the weighted base frame). The long bolt holes for the umbrella poles are difficult to align but managed. The difficult part for me was filling the Weighted Base. I suggest placing the base on a 45 degree angle to start the fill. Trying to fit all that sand inside is a pain in the butt. That is a load of weight.
Overall a very good design, sturdy well built frame and umbrella. So far so good. Will give another review in 6 months.

my initial review recommended a don't buy. I had an immediate contact from Grand Patio, and they bent over backwards to get me the right parts. the umbrella looks great in my newly remodeled yard.
